Pastor Saoon’s testimony is that he was a Muslim and a very successful tailor, but when he accepted Yeshua as his Savior, he lost his job. It’s very hard for Christians in Pakistan to work. If they do have jobs, they’re usually the lowest paying jobs.
We help support Pastor Saoon. He gets a very small salary from a church in Gojra, but it’s not enough. He is working with Avodah Ministries to share the gospel, and we want to support him in the work of the Father. He goes where the Lord sends him. He rides a motorcycle up to 1.5 hours to share the gospel with people. He took the train to Faislabad to pray for someone in the hospital. He is very dedicated to God! He loves God and wants to work for the Kingdom!
We support and work with Pastor Saooun in 3 ways:
Prayer meetings in the Gojra area of Pakistan
Pastor Saooun and a few other pastors hold prayers throughout Pakistan. We teach the Bible at some of these meetings. Catholicism has played a major influence in Pakistan. Most Christians are not keeping the Sabbath of the Feasts of the Lord. And they hear an incomplete gospel which does not include the the New Covenant and our identity in Yeshua. We want to make sure people know about the Torah, that it is truth, and that God’s Word is eternally fixed in the heavens. We want them to know that the New Covenant restores us to the obedience to the Old Covenant (The Torah). We participate in several meetings and I have a translator who translates in Urdu.
The gospel is going out, and God is using technology to take His gospel to parts of the world that might not otherwise receive it. We are able to be with the people through Messenger or Whats App. The crowds are larger than you would think as you can see from the pictures below. People are starving for the truth, and we want to do the Father’s will in teaching them to obey His commandments.
The Golden Door Bible School
Pastor Saooun has started the Golden Door Bible school in someone’s home. He has been gifted land to build a church and Bible school. We are praying the funds will come in for this to be completed. More people will be able to attend and Sabbath services can be held at the church.
We are teaching the 7 covenants at the Golden Door Bible school. We teach via Messenger or Whats App and our translator, Saroush, from Christ nations translates into Urdu.
Recently, 23 chairs were purchased for Golden Door Bible School because the school is held in someone’s home. They don’t have enough chairs to accommodate the students that want to come learn the Bible at this school! Praise Yehovah!
Shabbat School for children
Pastor Saooun has Sabbath School for children in different areas. He teaches them the Bible, gives them books and sings with the children. This is wonderful to see! These children are worshipping God and learning stories in the Bible. We want the children to learn to keep the Sabbath and the Feasts of the Lord and not to celebrate the traditions of the Catholic church which are pagan.
